We recently had the opportunity to repair two Robicon Medium Voltage VFDs at a water treatment plant located near Atlanta, Georgia.
The units had been down for some time, and the plant operators had experienced difficulty in getting them serviced. We were able to get them going in very short order. One had a bad circuit board, and one had a faulty output IGBT.
After repairing them, we did a quick tune-up and had them back on line.

Typically there is no way to refurbish an IGBT, at least not a cost effective way. Unfortunately, they are a throw away item
