Industry update from EMA

Despite a bad economy, EMA had a strong finish in  2009, and the first quarter of 2010 is looking good. We’ve been  blessed to enjoy excellent partnerships with people like Schneider Power Drives in Austria (VA Tech), Lti Controls (Lust Drives) in Germany,  Yaskawa, and WEG.  Along with our traditional business, we became  very involved with  energy savings in recent years, and are moving further into that field with Schaffner’s passive and active harmonic filters.
We see the power quality and energy savings side of business continuing to expand, but at the same time, we seem to have found a niche in working on high horsepower, challenging environment drive applications,  and control equipment.
And perhaps as a  surprise to all of us, our shop repair business continues to expand.  It appears that  our reputation for finding repair solutions to difficult and esoteric equipment has become more widely known.
